Cesar Moutela | SENIOR ILLUSTRATOR

Cesar Moutela is a New York-based CAD designer/artist with over 14 years of professional experience in the apparel industry. In 2004, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in communications design from Pratt Institute, where he specialized in illustration and photography.

His print and pattern work has since been commissioned for use in men’s and women’s apparel lines by several notable brands including Nautica, Converse, Gap, Aeropostale, Banana Republic, and Banana Factory, and it has also been featured in private label use by a variety of lingerie companies.

Cesar is proficient in Adobe Suite and Nedgraphics, and he also speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently.

Past clients/employers: Nautica (designed prints/artwork for Men’s apparel); Converse (designed prints for All-Star apparel Men’s and Women’s); Carol Hochman (designed prints for private label lingerie companies); Aeropostale (designed prints for Men’s apparel); Gap (designed prints for Men’s apparel); Banana Republic (designed prints for Men’s and Women’s apparel).

Secret Talent: My secret talent is that I am a self-taught leathersmith.
