CAROLINA ZUNIGA-AISA | ILLUSTRATOR + GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Carolina is a native New Yorker of Chilean descent. Growing up in NYC, she learned to deeply appreciate the unique exposure to the arts and that exhilarating sense of having the world at her fingertips in a city that is home to so many cultures, foods, and styles.

Obsessed with all things handmade, Carolina studied fashion design and attained her BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology. With over a decade of design experience with companies such as Converse, Nautica, and Macy's private labels, she enjoys creating sustainable products at her studio in Brooklyn and beekeeping around the city on the weekends.

Secret Talent: My secret talent is brewing a mean cup of coffee. This is my daily ritual. I also use the grinds as a delicious body scrub!

Source of Inspiration: My source of inspiration is being outside in nature! I love to observe the fauna and flora around me and take in the sounds.

Important Fact: I strive to make a positive impact daily. Whether it’s by way of composting, shopping less, or even smiling at a stranger as they pass by.

Zen Place:  My zen place is Governor's Island during the off season. It has become a bird and pollinator sanctuary with the NYC skyline as its backdrop.
